RemiDocs

Quickstart

Sign up on the web, have your first chat with Remi, and work through the Getting started list. There's nothing to install.

Remi on the web works in any up-to-date browser, on a computer or a phone. Signing in with a new email creates your account, so signing up and signing in are the same steps.

Sign up or sign in

Go to remiapp.ai and select Start free. If you're already signed in there, the button says Open Remi and takes you straight to Remi.

Enter your email and select Continue. Remi emails you a 6-digit code, from hello@remiapp.ai, with a subject like "123456 is your Remi login code". Type it in on the Check your inbox screen, or select the log-in button in the email. The code works for 10 minutes, and there's no password.

You can select Sign in with Google instead.

A new account starts on the Free plan, with no credit card needed. Your plan compares the plans.

Answer the setup questions

The first time you sign in, Remi may show Set up Remi, three short steps:

  1. What should we call you? Type your name and select Continue.
  2. What will you use Remi for? Choose For work, Personal, Work & personal or Just exploring. Pick any suggestions that fit, or describe what you need, then select Continue.
  3. Where do you work? asks for your company and what you do there. If you chose Personal or Just exploring, you see Set up your space instead, which asks for a workspace name. Select Finish setup.

Remi uses your answers to suit its suggestions to you. If it already has your name, as it does when you sign up with Google, it skips this.

Ask something

Type into the Message Remi... box at the bottom and press Enter. Press Shift+Enter for a new line. For example:

Plan a 30-minute team meeting about next quarter's goals.

Check it worked

Remi's answer appears under your message as it's written. The chat is saved: you'll find it in the sidebar under Recent chats. To start another, select New chat.

Work through Getting started

A new chat shows a Getting started list above the message box, with six things to try. Select one and Remi starts it for you. Select Skip to leave one out.

ItemWhat happens when you select it
Upload a documentYour file picker opens. Choose a PDF, spreadsheet or Word document to send to Remi.
Tell Remi something to rememberThe message box fills in "Remember that ". Finish the sentence and send it.
Create a projectThe message box fills in "Create a project called ". Add a name and send it.
Set up a workflowThe message box fills in "Set up a workflow that ". Say what it should do and when, and send it.
Create a workspaceThe message box fills in "Create a workspace called ". Add a name and send it.
Connect your toolsThe Integrations page opens, where you connect apps such as your email and calendar.

An item moves to the done list once you've done it or skipped it, and the list goes away when all six are done.

Under it, the Learn Remi tiles cover projects, documents, data tables, facts, tasks and workflows. Select one and Remi puts a question or an example about it in the message box, ready to send.
